You also create a digital twin of the location which can be experienced remotely, in a fly-through video or in real time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add OVER\u2019s map2earn\u2122\ufe0f<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0rewards mechanic and that\u2019s when you really start to see the benefits of being involved.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>map2earn\u2122\ufe0f \u2013 Make maps, earn rewards<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mapping activity remains open to everyone, however map2earn\u2122\ufe0f<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0rewards will be active only on selected locations. There are two types of locations which will be clearly marked on the map2earn\u2122\ufe0f map:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">OVRLands that are owned by the OVER community<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additional locations of significance, including those with landmarks, found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openstreetmap.org\/\">Open Street Map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">By mapping a location you create four ways to win OVR tokens:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Direct Payments<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2014based on the value of the mapped location. Direct payments apply only to owned OVRLands<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Major Prize Draw<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2014the more maps you make, the more entries you submit to potentially share in $100,000 worth of OVR tokens. Winners are selected randomly via Chainlink<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Monthly Prize Draw<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2014a continuation of our current Mapper Challenge, with winners selected randomly via Chainlink<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Treasure Hunt<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2014check your completed maps for random distributed hidden bonuses<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>It\u2019s important to note:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Direct rewards only apply to owned OVRLands<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Prize Draws and Treasure Hunt rewards apply to both owned OVRLands and additional locations from the Open Street Map<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n<h3>1. Direct Payments<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These rewards are distributed geographically, but not all lands are created equal:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Only minted or owned OVRLands will have rewards attached to them<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Minted OVRLands will vary in price, based on location and density of minted lands<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rewards are in OVR tokens and the amount will be adjusted monthly according to the OVR&lt;&gt;USD exchange rate<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rewards will also be adjusted by country<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2. Major Prize Draw<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Every map you make counts as an entry \u2018ticket\u2019 to the major prize draw and $100k of OVR tokens.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Four maps will be drawn randomly<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> via Chainlink, with <\/span>90% of the prize going to the mapper and 10% going to the owner of the mapped land<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>The OVR tokens are distributed as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1st prize \u2013\u00a050%<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2nd \u2013\u00a030%<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3rd \u2013\u00a015%<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4th \u2013\u00a05%<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>There are a few important points to note:<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">The prize needs to be unlocked<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and so <strong>the community is required to <\/strong><\/span><strong>create 500,000 approved maps<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from the start of the Map The World initiative<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can increase your chances of winning 2X by mapping land that you own. You can either already own it or buy the land on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.ovr.ai\/lands\/primary\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">OVER Marketplace<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> before the final prize draw<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eligible maps can be those made from owned owned OVRLands and additional locations from the Open Street Map<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3. Monthly Prize Draw<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a continuation of the monthly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.overthereality.ai\/blog\/over-map2earn-september-winners\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mapper Challenge<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. 10 maps are randomly chosen via Chainlink, with the mapper of each map winning <\/span><b>1000 OVR tokens<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. As with the Major Prize Draw, eligible maps can be those made from owned OVRLands and additional locations from the Open Street Map.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But we\u2019ve added a twist for owners of OVRLands\u2014if the first mapped location chosen is owned, <strong>that landowner also will receive 1000 OVR tokens<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>4. Treasure Hunt<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some OVRLands\u2014from either owned OVRLands or additional locations from the Open Street Map\u2014will contain a hidden prize, ranging from $1 to $1250 (with maximum booster multiplier) worth of OVR tokens. Mappers can check if the land has a prize once the map has been approved.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>\u2014<\/h3>\n<h3>Important to remember:<\/h3>\n<p><b>Withdrawing payments and prizes<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need to have made <\/span><b>10 approved maps<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> before you can withdraw any earned tokens. And once you\u2019ve withdrawn tokens, that number resets\u2014meaning you have to make another 10 approved maps before you can withdraw any more tokens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>NOTE: To withdraw on-chain OVR tokens you\u2019ll need to submit and pass KYC verification, or proof of identity.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can also choose to leave your rewards untouched. There are benefits to this, specifically boosting your earnings\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Boosting your earnings<br \/>\n<\/b>Hanging onto your rewards activates the Booster. The Booster works in a couple of ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It multiplies your earnings on mapped lands that contain a hidden prize through the Treasure Hunt<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It multiplies your entries to the Monthly and Major Prize Draws<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Booster points are accrued based on how many tokens you hold and how long you hold them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to note that if you withdraw any amount of your tokens at any time, <strong>your Booster points reset to zero.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b><\/b><b>If you haven\u2019t already done so, <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.ovr.ai\/landing\/map-the-world?_gl=1*s59phq*_ga*MTIxMDY3NzQ4My4xNjYzNzk5Mjk1*_ga_L817CF2SJ6*MTY5OTI0MTEzMC43MTguMS4xNjk5MjQxMTUxLjAuMC4w\">APPLY NOW<\/a>\u00a0to Map The World and start earning! <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Keep an eye out in the usual OVER channels for updates, plus more ways to win as the campaign progresses.
